What defines a good custom cabinet maker?

When there are literally thousands of companies in your industry, what exactly sets one apart from the other?

At Stonebelt Cabinets, we believe the answer lies in how a company acts when things don’t go right. Just as we witness this phenomenon in our personal lives, it is when problems occur that you get to see a person, or in this case a company, in its true light. This is where you often see companies and individuals hide from their mistakes and either sweep them under the carpet or suddenly become unreachable, especially since this is usually after payment has been rendered. So what do we do that is different than the typical unscrupulous contractor? Simple; we notify you of what we did wrong and fix the problem at our own cost, as soon as possible. A perfect example is the paneling project we completed in Huntington Beach, pictures of which you can see here and on our Facebook page, where we finished everything with stain and lacquer that turned out to not match the existing entertainment center close enough. This was a huge problem to say the least as literally a month of work was at stake because the last step in the process, staining and lacquering, did not go as planned. So what did we do? We took everything back and spent an entire week working on a chemical peel to get all the finish off the paneling. Then we spent another week reapplying the stain and lacquer to the paneling.
