The cabinetry was a critical aspect of a complete bath remodel completed by Veteran Ed’s in Anaheim Hills and brought together the patterns and colors exhibited by the flooring, counter top, and tile materials.
Solid Cherry material was used for the cabinet doors and drawer fronts. A custom stain was used in the finishing process for these material – the use of ultra penetrating stain creates the mesmerizing patterns in the natural Cherry wood as the varying densities in the wood grains absorb different amounts of the color. The stain was settled with the use of a sanding sealer and after further sanding a final coat of clear semi-gloss lacquer was applied.
The best hardware was used for this piece: Blum soft close hinges for the doors and soft close full extension Blum under-mount slides for the drawer boxes. Interior portions of the cabinetry were built using maple plywood material and a concealed removable panel was incorporated into the left side to allow access to the plumbing controls for the whirlpool tub. The home owners did an amazing job picking out the color pattern and the materials used throughout the new bathroom space, with the fixtures and pulls adding a final highlight to the setting.
