This is a restoration project we completed together with Veteran Ed’s Restoration (www.veteraneds.com) in Manhattan Beach in just 7 days!

The interior of the cabinetry was damaged due to extensive water flooding and almost half of the kitchen cabinetry had to be rebuilt, the tile flooring had to be replaced, and extensive dry wall repair and painting was required. The damaged cabinets were taken out without damaging the countertop or the back splash and the granite was supported using 2 by 4s and back bracing while the cabinetry was being rebuilt. All doors and drawer fronts were reused but all cabinet interiors, side panels, and appliance frames were completely rebuilt and finished to match the rest of the cabinetry.   Veteran Ed’s did an incredible job changing out the tile flooring and repairing the damaged drywall.

The whole process has to be completed in just one week – the family left for a one week vacation and came back to a stunning kitchen.  The new flooring and many upgrades incorporated into the kitchen cabinets, such as pull-out trash assembly and added pull-out drawers in the pantry, allowed the home owners to take advantage of the challenging situation and create a more visually appealing and usable kitchen.
