These kitchen cabinets were originally the traditional yellowing maple framed cabinets with the standard track home door style.  Using new 1/8″ thick cherry plywood material together with Cherry shaker style doors and drawer fronts we completely transformed the look and feel of this kitchen.

Believe it or not the entire process took only 7 days at the home, with about three weeks of work preparing for the on-site work at our Huntington Beach facility.  The most difficult part of the project was applying the new finished material over the cabinet side panels and all the paneling at the island.  To make a perfect line at each corner where the new material came together we actually had to sand down the existing material to create a perfect seamless connection.  Doing this part of the work any differently would create gaps between the joining materials.  Similar shaping of the existing material was done on the face frames to avoid difference in the edge reveal as you go from one independent frame to another.

Once we finished this difficult stage of the process we installed new shaker style doors and drawer fronts, new crown moulding, and new toe kick skin with matching finish.  Blum soft close hinges and drawer slides were used to affix the new materials and new pulls where installed throughout for the final touch.  If you are looking to tranform your kitchen to a more contemporary look using high-end cabinet refacing look no further than Stonebelt Cabinets!
